We had another exciting year at Thea Paves the Way on Saturday! A group of talented Middle and Upper school students come together to create a design that promoted Unity. Our middle school participants contributed a great deal to the overall success of the completed project. Dylann S., Christian B., Joe R., Sadie S., Grace C., and Paige S., worked tirelessly in the heat of the day! Thank you ALL so much for your contributions! It was a messy, creative, and artsy day for us all!!!
Welcome to the
Episcopal Collegiate Middle School
It is going to be an exciting year at the middle school! Over the summer the art room received brand new tables and stools that are absolutely perfect for middle school art making! They bring a fresh and organized look to the room. Thanks to all involved in making this happen!!!
Call for Artists:
Saturday we had a wonderful group of Episcopal Collegiate students from each school division participate in a creative sidewalk chalk mural. I would like to give a big shout out to Joe Rhee who represented our middle school division. He was a tremendous help in the creation through creativity, collaboration, and hard work. Joe worked seamlessly along side his upper and lower school colleagues. We all had a great time and left behind a beautiful sidewalk chalk mural for many to enjoy.
Thea Paves the Way
Thea Foundation’s annual sidewalk chalk event, Thea Paves the Way, will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 12p.m. on the front lawn of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library, where dozens of school, family, church, and community groups will share in the creative effort to cover the sidewalks in vibrant chalk art. This year Ms. Schultz, Ms. McSpadden, and Ms.Higgins will have space reserved for our amazing students from Episcopal Collegiate! All students, families, friends, and faculty are welcome to come join in the fun!
Mrs. Higgins is looking for volunteers to help create a design for the event.
Hello and welcome to the Middle School Arts and High School Drawing Class. My name is Mrs. Higgins and I am excited to start this school year with so many new faces! This will be my 6th year teaching in schools and I have taught K-12 as well as college level courses in the visual arts field. So far this summer I have been transitioning into the studio space at the middle school and working to get it ready for the Fall classes. I look forward to meeting all of you soon!!!
